Second set of Wave 3 Made-for-Wales draft specifications now available

We are pleased to publish the second set of draft specifications for the third Wave of our Made-for-Wales qualifications. This release includes our Personal Project and Skills for Work and Life qualifications, offering further learning pathways to learners across Wales.

Now available to view online, these draft specifications have been submitted to Qualifications Wales for approval and are intended for first teaching from September 2027.

Commenting on this exciting development, Sara Davies, Head of Skills and Pathways, said:

鈥淥ur Personal Project qualifications sit at the heart of our skills-based offer, enabling learners to develop the knowledge and capabilities they need for their future pathways. Building on the proven success of the Individual Project within the current Skills Challenge Certificate, these new qualifications represent a natural and exciting evolution.听听

Developed in close collaboration with teachers and wider stakeholders, they are designed to ensure a smooth transition for centres, supported by the same experienced 91黑料 team. The innovative design of our Level 1 and Level 2 Personal Project qualifications ensures that a learner鈥檚 level and grade are determined solely by the quality of their work, rather than by entry decisions, allowing every learner鈥檚 full potential to be recognised.

Our Skills for Life and Skills for Work qualifications have been designed to recognise and celebrate the strengths of every learner. They provide flexible and meaningful pathways that build confidence and independence, while equipping learners with the essential skills they need for life beyond school.鈥 听

Our draft specifications, designed to meet Qualifications Wales鈥 Approval Criteria, are available to view on the subject page:鈥
